Janine Hurst enters her second season as head coach of the Adams State Women's Soccer team in 2019.
Hurst began her first season as the Adams State Women's Soccer Head Coach in the Fall of 2018. Prior to being named head coach, she was an assistant coach with the program, coaching the goal keepers for the past four seasons. Hurst is a graduate and former student-athlete of Adams State.
Prior to this season, Hurst was named the goal keeping coach for the Adams State University women's soccer program beginning in the fall of 2013. Hurst is a graduate of Adams State University with bachelor’s degrees in Fine Arts, Art Education, and Exercise Science. She also earned her master's degree in Exercise Science from Adams State in 2012.
Hurst played for Adams State from 2002-2006 as a goalkeeper.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Hurst worked as an Exercise Physiologist at San Luis Valley Health the local hospital. In 2014, she worked as a Physical Education Teacher at Haskin Elementary- Center Schools.
Prior to arriving at ASU, Hurst also coached the SLV United traveling team (U8-U12) for four years. They were Inter-Mountain League Champions one year and traveled all around Southern Colorado; Crested Butte, Salida, Buena Vista, and Leadville.
Hurst resides in Monte Vista with her husband, Teyler, and their two twin boys, Theo and Ollie
