Before ASU: Previoulsy competed for the Iowa Central University Titans under Head Coach Dee Brown... Competed in the 5k, 3k, and 1 mile... Named All-American for the 1 Mile and the 3 k... Best times for the 2014 indoor season are 5:17 (mile), 10:26 (3k), and 17:51(5k)... also competes in Cross Country
Prep: Attended Mather HS (Chicago, Ill.) where he competed under Head Coach Dale Devinney... competed in the class 3A State Championships in both Cross Country and Track... Set a school record in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:10... Placed second at Regionals in both Cross Country and Track
Academics: Currently holds a 3.04 GPA... Plans to major in Sociology while attending Adams State... Would like to persue a career as an immigration social worker
Off the Track: Originally born in Ethiopia... Enjoys shopping, playing volleyball, and biking by the park... Favorite food is Spaghettti... Favorite professional sports team is the Chicago Bulls
