Prep: Competed in the 100 and 200 meter, the 4x100, and also in the 4x400… Was coached by Lita Holland at Buena High School. Career best times include: 12.2 (100m), 25.07 (200m)... Teams best records are: 2nd at state in the 100m (2008), 3rd at state in the 100m (2009), and 2nd at state in the 100 and 200m (2010)... Also played soccer and was on the step and dance team... She alos has a 3rd degree black belt.
Academics: Is majoring in Government and Business... Graduated from Buena Vista HS in 2010.
Off the track: Born on 06/26/92… Daughter of Donna and Walter Sims… Mother played basketball in college... Brothers are Walter Sims, Jr., 18, and Benjamin Sims, 16...Enjoys martial arts, rock climbing and hiking... Favorite movie is the Lion King… Favorite food is baked potatoes.
