Billy Lindquist joins Adams State as the Senior Associate AD for Compliance/Internal Affairs in Spring 2026.
He joins the Adams State staff after serving as an Offensive Coordinator/Interim Head Coach at Northern Michigan from 2023-2026 where he was responsible for not only coaching but also ensuring compliance with NCAA rules and overseeing recruiting processes. Prior to his time at NMU, Lindquist had served in various football coaching roles at the University of North Carolina Pembroke since 2014 where he spent 8 seasons as the recruiting coordinator.Â
Prior to his time in Alamosa, Colo., Lindquist served a four-year stint on the staff at Michigan Tech, first as a graduate assistant, and then a two-year stay as the special teams coordinator for the Huskies.Â
A three-time Academic All-RMAC selection at Adams State, Lindquist threw for 2,005 yards and 15 touchdowns on 144-of-304 passing as a starter for the Grizzlies in 2006 and 2007.Â
Lindquist earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Adams State in 2008 and was awarded his bachelor’s degree in sports administration from Adams State in 2009. Lindquist and his wife, Jamie, have one son Mack.Â
