Adams State University

Born in Longmont, Colorado, Sam Dirkes graduated from high school in 2019. During his high school career, he competed in football and track and field, helping his team win the state championship while also earning the individual state championship in the shot put.

After graduation, Sam chose to attend Adams State University to compete in track and field while pursuing a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Coaching. Throughout his collegiate career, he became a five-time RMAC Shot Put Champion and earned 14 First Team All-RMAC honors in the shot put and discus. In addition, Sam achieved five NCAA All-American honors.
