ALAMOSA, Colo. (December 11, 2014)—The Adams State University Grizzlies women's basketball team returns to the court this weekend to continue Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play. They will be traveling to Durango, Colo. to face off against the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks in what will mark the Grizzlies third consecutive road game since last playing at home on Nov. 22
nd against first-ranked West Texas A&M University. The Grizzlies record stands at 0-6 on season, 0-2 in RMAC contests.

Last Time out for the GrizzliesIn last week's RMAC outings, the Grizzlies lost to both Colorado State University-Pueblo and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
In the Dec. 5
th matchup between CSU-Pueblo, the Pack handled the Grizzlies a 61-43 defeat from the Massari Arena. At the time, the Pack improved to 3-0 at home with the victory over ASU.
Desiree Anderson led the Grizzlies offensively with nine points in the loss, shooting 3-12 from the field and 2-8 from beyond the three-point line.
The Dec. 6
th matchup featured ASU playing against UCCS. The Grizzlies were unable to harness the Mountain Lion offensive unit and lost 81-53.
Mariah Gonzales led the Grizzlies, scoring 18 points off 5-18 shooting from the field while shooting 8-10 from the charity stripe.
To note, UCCS and CSU-Pueblo have both already played Fort Lewis College. The Mountain Lions posted a 91-64 victory while the ThunderWolves were also victorious, 62-51.
Meet the SkyhawksFort Lewis College on the season has composed a 3-3 record. The Skyhawks are currently 0-2 in RMAC play after losing against CSU-Pueblo and UCCS. Junior forward Mary Brinton of the Skyhawks led the team offensively in their matchup against the Mountain Lions, scoring 15 points. Briton serves as the focal point of the FLC offensive efforts by leading the team with points scored throughout the season so far with 83. As a team, the Skyhawks average 60 points per game mainly due to their offensive philosophy of getting buckets to drop within the paint. FLC is not a particularly strong team from beyond the three-point line, shooting at a 22 percent efficiency rate. FLC is extremely successful at rebounding, having a +3.2 ratio over opponents throughout the season.
The matchup with Fort Lewis College is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tipoff on Dec. 13 in Durango. The ASU vs. FLC men's game will follow.
