Alamosa, Colo. (September 26, 2014) -- The Adams State University Grizzlies men's soccer team fell 3-0 today in their match against the No. 14 Regis University Rangers. The Grizzlies record now falls to 1-5 on the season and 0-3 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play. For RU, their record improves to 5-1, 3-1 RMAC.
Regis striker, Jacob Martinez, scored the first two goals early. Martinez' first goal came at the three minute mark and netted his second at the 36th minute mark. Martin Maybin scored the final goal from the Rangers at the 59
th minute mark.
Regis University outshot Adams State 10-4 and had seven corner kicks to Adams three.
The Grizzlies now prep for Colorado Mesa University on Sept. 28 at 1 p.m. from the ASU Soccer Field. Colorado Mesa boasts a 4-2-1 overall record and are 2-1 in RMAC play. The Mavericks are coming off a 1-0 road victory against CSU-Pueblo on Friday evening.
