Box Score ALAMOSA, Colo. (October 17, 2015) - The Adams State Grizzlies women's volleyball team won tonight 3-2 in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) game on Saturday night against the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks. Behind the play of Mallory Grimsrud who put together another fine display of her athletic abilities, the Grizzlies now ride a three game winning streak and improve their record to 6-13, 5-6 in RMAC play.

Grimsrud picked up 13 kills off 33 attacks and the Grizzlies won the match by set scores of 9-25, 25-20, 25-22, 15-25, and 15-4. Grimsrud's efforts were matched on the defensive side as she picked up 11 total blocks to tie a career high. Nina Mody-Bailey joined on double digit kills by posting 10. Alex Parker who has been in peak performance for the Grizzlies this week, posted six kills tonight against the Mavericks. In her three games played this week, Parker has totaled 51 kills.

Adams State limited the Mavericks to a hitting .153 percent at the net for the match. In comparison the Grizzlies hit at a .121 hitting percent. Defensively, Gabrielle Timmen posted 15 digs against the Mavericks.

In defeat, CMU falls to 10-9, 8-3 in RMAC play. Offensively they were led by Caitie Breaux who posted 14 kills off 38 attacks.

Adams State is currently riding a three game winning streak, their longest of the season. They will prepare next for an away bout against RMAC foe South Dakota School of Mines and Technology on October 23.
