RAPID CITY, S.D. (October 23, 2015) — The Adams State University women's volleyball team won tonight, 3-0, in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) game against the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Hardrockers. Behind the play of
Mallory Grimsrud and
Alex Parker, the Grizzlies are riding a four match winning streak and improve their record to 7-13 overall and 6-6 in RMAC play.
Grimsrud picked up 10 kills off 24 attacks as Parker picked up an impressive 10 kills on 11 attacks. The Grizzlies won the match by set scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-19. Grimsrud's efforts were matched on the defensive side as well, as she picked up seven blocks.
Briannah Mariner posted six kills in the win.
Katelyn Schwartz collected 30 assists and was also a force at the net with four blocks.
Gabrielle Timmen chipped in 10 digs.
Adams State restricted the Hardrockers to a hitting percentage of .098 at the net. To compare, the Grizzlies hit .250.
