Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. (October 30, 2015)-- The Adams State Grizzlies women's volleyball team lost tonight 3-0 in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) bout against the Colorado State University-Pueblo Thunderwolves. Tonight's loss snaps the Grizzlies five game winning streak.
The Grizzlies lost the match via set scores of 26-24, 25-21, and 25-20. Offensively, the Grizzlies were led by the combination of hitters
Mallory Grimsrud,
Nina Mody-Bailey, and
Alex Parker. Parker led the team with 10 kills off of 30 attacks. Parker was also a defensive force at the net, totaling a game-best four blocks in tonight's affair. Grimsrud chipped in eight kills along with
Nina Mody-Bailey. Mody-Bailey picked up three blocks while Grimsrud tallied two.
Adams State for the night hit .129 percentage at the net while the Thunderwolves hit .284 percent. Defensively,
Gabrielle Timmen led the team by posting 10 digs against the host.
Adams State lost tonight, snapping a five game winning streak that started back on October 13 against Fort Lewis. ASU will now prepare for an away match with rival Western State Colorado University.
