Buchanan finished the game shooting 11-of-12 from the field and 16-of-18 from the free throw line. The bitter rivalry was on full display as the two teams combined for 70 personal fouls, five technical fouls, and 98 free throw attempts.
About The OrediggersWith an 87-77 win on Saturday over Colorado Christian University, the Orediggers clinched a share of the RMAC regular season title with Metropolitan State University of Denver. Offensively the program holds an RMAC-best 53 percent field goal shooting mark. Gokul Natesan and Brian Muller lead the way with 14.9 and 14.8 points per game, respectively.
Last We MetThe Orediggers ran away with a 91-69 victory against the Grizzlies on Jan. 23 from Plachy Hall. Mines held a slim 31-30 halftime edge but exploded for 60 points after the break. The Orediggers were paced by Muller and Trevor Ritchie who both chipped in 19 points. Buchanan led the Grizzlies with 18 points but a declining team shooting performance translated into the lopsided loss. It was the only meeting between the two teams during the 2014-15 regular season.
