Last Time Out
Adams State (2-10, 1-8 RMAC) lost both games last weekend against the Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Christian University. With last weekend's results, the Grizzlies have lost five consecutive conference games. In their last outing against the Cougars, both teams combined for a total of 60 turnovers and took away from another solid offensive performance from Lena Jaycox. Against the Cougars, Jaycox scored 19 points and connected on five three point shots.

About Westminster College (5-8, 2-7 RMAC)
Westminster currently sits in 8th place in the RMAC Rocky Division. In their last eight games, the Griffons have lost seven of them and are currently riding a two game losing streak heading into Friday's game. Throughout this dismal stretch of the season, the Griffons losses have been unbalanced. A handful of these games have resulted in blow-out losses but then again the Griffons have been competitive against some of the RMAC's toughest teams. In the December 19 match-up against the Colorado School of Mines, the Griffons were down by as many as 20 points heading into the fourth quarter. But a strong offensive surge led by freshman guard Denise Gonzales, who scored 16 points in the contest, paired along with a stifling defensive formula limited Mines to only score five points in the fourth quarter. While the Griffons narrowly lost by a 59-57 score, they gave the best team in the RMAC a run for their money.
Offensively the Griffons boast the 14th best scoring offense in the RMAC but have the 5th best ranked defense in the conference. The team averages about 56 points per game and concedes on average about 60. Gonzales is the team's leading scorer and nets an average of 11 points per game.

About Colorado Mesa University (8-5, 5-4 RMAC)
Before the season even began, Head Coach Taylor Wagner's program was the toast of the town. After winning three consecutive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season championships, the Mavericks were voted via the RMAC Coach's Pre-Season Poll as the program that would likely take the 2015-16 crown again. Once again CMU is deep in the hunt to capture the crown again, seeking their fourth regular season championship in as many seasons.

Colorado Mesa currently sits in 3rd place in the RMAC Rocky Division. At home, the Mavericks hold a 5-1 record and are winners of three of their last four games. In their last match-up they fell on the road to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs by a 65-55 score and will look to rebound against the Grizzlies. With the 4th best scoring defense in the RMAC, points are hard to come by when opponents play Wagner's club. On average the team allows about 56 points per game. The Mavericks are led offensively by Bryanna Adams who posts an average of about 18 points per game in all contests. She trails only UCCS forward Brittney Hernandez as the RMAC's leading scorer.
