SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (October 14th, 2016)-- The Adams State University Grizzlies women's soccer team started a three-game road trip yesterday, as they traveled to Westminster College to take on the Griffins. Despite tying the game up early, the Grizzlies were unable to stop Westminster, as they fell 2-1.
The Griffins struck first to take an early 1-0 lead in the twenty-fifth minute, but
Shelby McBain would net her first goal of the season, and the lone goal for Adams State off of a corner kick in the twenty-ninth minute.
Westminster would score the go-ahead goal late in the second period to secure the win.
With the loss, the Grizzlies fall to 7-5 (4-4 in conference play) on the season. Goalkeeper
Teagan Moore ended the contest with five saves, while McBain and
Arin Seidlitz led the way with two shots apiece.
Up next for Adams State, is a matchup against the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks on October 16
