ALAMOSA, Colo. (October 9
th, 2016) --- The men's soccer team was defeated at home this afternoon by Colorado State University-Pueblo by a score of 0-1.
A fairly chilly-weathered game resulted in a scoreless first half on 8 shots for each team. The second half yielded little activity until Lucas Rodriguez of the ThunderWolves put in a header at the 78:31 mark. The goal would be good enough for the CSU-Pueblo win.
CSU-Pueblo improves to 4-7 on the year. Adams State drops to 4-8 with the loss.
Coach Bentley had this to say: "We played well enough to win today, considering the number of opportunities we created. However, the game came down to which team was going to have a player step up and make a play, unfortunately that team was Pueblo. This stretch of games has been a tough test for us, but I commend this group of young men because this adversity has revealed great character on their parts. I guarantee that we will never quit fighting to get the results and that's a testament to our character."
The Grizzlies will take to the road for their next game against the Colorado School of Mines at 7:00pm. Â
