Adams State adds 5 student-athletes during early signing period

ALAMOSA, Colo. (November 28, 2016) -- The week-long early signing period was a success for the Adams State University Cross Country and Track & Field program. The Grizzlies signed a strong group of five early additions to its 2017-18 cross country and track & field recruiting classes. Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Damon Martin, Head Track & Field Coach Rock Light, and Recruiting Coordinator David Granato announced the newcomers Monday.

Of the five signees, three hail from the Centennial State with one from Montana and another from South Africa. The grouping consists of both distance runners and sprinters to compliment a cross country/track & field program that just collected its 51st national championship on November 19th by virtue of a comeback win for the ASU men's cross country team.

With the early signing period now over, Adams State turns their efforts to the upcoming indoor/outdoor track and field season followed by additional recruiting efforts in the spring.
