Head Coach
Jason Levesque had this to say after the game, "We played a decent first half, we're in the game and I really thought we'd amp things up in the second and close the gap. Unfortunately we let up a couple early goals and the flood gates sort of opened up. It's another step in the learning process for this young group. All we can do is move forward. This one will hurt all the way home but tomorrowis a new day and we'll put get prepared for the next one."
Adams State goaltender,
Connor Johnson, ended the day with fifteen saves. Out of the Grizzlies' twenty-one shots, fourteen were on goal. Adams State also edged the Mavericks in clears, as they went 14-17 overall.
Despite Sunday's loss, the Grizzlies are looking at a spot in the post-season RMAC Championships. Seeding has yet to be determined.
