ODESSA, TX. (September 11th, 2016)—The Adams State University Grizzlies women's soccer team capped off their weekend road trip, with a dominant 4-0 win over University of Texas-Permian Basin earlier Sunday.
While the first half saw both teams held scoreless, the second half saw
Elaine Van de Wille strike first off of a penalty kick, for her second goal of the season. Van de Wille's goal came in the fifty-first minute of play.
In the seventy-forth minute, Adams State scored again with
Arin Seidlitz, off of an assist by
Lourdes Padilla. Seidlitz's goal gave the Grizzlies a 2-0 lead over the Falcons.
Just over a minute later,
Madison Furbush tallied her first goal of the season off of a penalty kick. Adams State would then take a 3-0 lead.
Daisy Perez, assisted by
Hannah Call, would then notch the fourth goal for the Grizzlies off of a goal where she was able to dribble around UTPB's goaltender to give Adams State the shut out victory. Perez had four shots on the day.

Teagan Moore gets her third shut out victory of the season, as she ended the day with five saves. Moore was also in net for yesterday's 2-0 victory over the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds.
Adams State returns home on September 16
th, as they host the New Mexico Highlands University Cowgirls. The match is set for a 4:00 pm start, and fans will be able to follow along with live stats and video by visiting asugrizzlies.com.
