Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

WSOC| Grizzlies continue winning streak with victory over Cowgirls

ALAMOSA, Colo. (September 17th, 2016)—The Adams State University Grizzlies women's soccer team continued their win streak with a 2-1 victory over the New Mexico Highland University Cowgirls on Friday. The win brings them to 4-1 on the season.

The first period of play saw both teams scoreless. The Cowgirls would strike first in the second period, with a goal in the seventy-first minute of play.

However, Lacey Daniel (assisted by Shelby McBain) would score the goal to tie it up 1-1. Daniel's goal would come just over two minutes after NMHU's.

Sloan Foster would net the winning goal at the 75:25 minute mark of the contest. Foster's goal was also assisted by McBain.

Grizzly goaltender, and recent Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Goalkeeper of the Week, Teagan Moore would finish the day with five saves.

Adams State will host the Colorado State University-Pueblo ThunderWolves on Sunday, September 18th. The game is set for a 2:30 pm start, and live stats and video will be available to fans by visiting asugrizzlies.com.
