ALAMOSA, Colo. (September 21
st, 2016) --- Men's soccer (4-3) was defeated at home today by a score of 1-4 in a game that lasted almost 3 hours due to a weather delay.
The Fort Lewis Skyhawks (3-4) jumped out to a quick lead only 5 minutes in to the game and would hold a 1-0 advantage going in to the half. An early goal in the second half put the Skyhawks up 2-0 before a lightning delay halted action for nearly an hour. After the delay, FLC scored yet another goal on a soggy field to push the lead to 3-0. The two teams would then trade successful penalty kicks, but the Grizzlies
were soundly defeated 1-4.
With
Symon Fabbricatore's goal today, he now ties a school record for most goals in a season. With 11 games left, he certainly has a good chance to shatter that record.
The Grizzlies take to the road for a game against CSU-Pueblo on Friday at 7:00pm. Â Â
