ALAMOSA, Colo. (September 30th, 2016)—The Adams State University Grizzlies women's soccer team hosted Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) rival, the Western State Colorado University Mountaineers earlier Friday, but were unable to get the win, as they fell 1-0.
The lone goal of the contest came in the first period, in the forty-fourth minute. The goal was scored off of a rebound that took an unfortunate bounce off of a Grizzly player.
The Grizzlies would put up a valiant effort and try to get that goal back, but were unable to get on the board.
Natalie Wheelock led the way for Adams State, as she tallied three shots on net.
Lacey Daniel, and
Arin Seidlitz each tallied two shots.
Grizzly goalkeeper,
Teagan Moore finished the day with five saves.
Adams State looks to end their three-game slide, as they travel to Colorado Springs to take on the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Mountain Lions on October 2
