Alamosa, Colorado. - The Adams State University volleyball team (10-11, 6-6 RMAC) continue to turn things around after a midseason slump with their third straight win tonight in Alamosa. Westminster (5-15, 2-10 RMAC) never really stood a chance, though they did sneak out of the third with an upset and were ultimately outmatched in the 3-1 contest.
The Grizzlies started the first set on a 5-1 run and would never look back. Later in the set a 7-1 run effectively put it out of reach on the way to a 25-20 win. More of the same occurred in the second highlighted by ASU's 11-5 finish. The Griffins would not go down quietly as they stole the third set 25-23 to set up a fourth. The final set was essentially a blow out, though the Griffins made a late push. With Adams leading 23-14 Westminster scored five of the next six but it would be too little too late. Adams with the win moves into seventh place in the RMAC. Â

Rachel Ringler continues to impress with 51 assists on the night and even added two kills off of fake sets.
