ALAMOSA – The Adams State University women's basketball team continues its' season at home this weekend. The Grizzlies will begin its' weekend against Western State Colorado University in its' first conference home game Friday evening at 5:30. Saturday features a matchup against Colorado Mesa University with tip-off at 5:30.
 
Adams State will look to bounce back after falling to New Mexico Highlands University and Colorado State University-Pueblo on its' road trip last weekend. Macy Meyers and Brooke Neal are leading the charge for the Grizzlies, both averaging close to 13 points per game. Stephanie Ruiz and Lejla Hadzialijagic are pitching in, each averaging 10 points per game. Nicole Broyles-Mortensen leads the Grizzlies with five rebounds per game. 
 
Adams State is currently 0-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Friday's game will serve as the Grizzlies first home game in the RMAC. Western State Colorado is currently 3-5 overall, and 0-2 in the RMAC. Friday night's game will give one of these teams its' first win in the conference.
 
Following Friday night's game, Adams State will regroup for a matchup against Colorado Mesa University. The Mavericks are ranked third in the RMAC with an overall record of 8-0, 2-0 in the conference. Adams State will look poised to hand CMU its' first loss of the season Saturday evening.

Friday will be Country Night against Western State while celebrating the cross country programs double national titles, while Saturday will be Green Out with the introduction of the new football coach.
