ANGELO, Tex.-The Adams State University Softball team has struggled in their past three games as they have failed to get any runs across the plate. They lost their second game on Friday by an 8-0 count to Emporia State in six innings before getting another 8-0 loss to the host Angelo State University Rambelles in five innings to start their Saturday action. In their nightcap, the Grizzlies fell 5-0 to Texas A&M International.
The Grizzlies, who are now 0-4 on the season and are 0-4 in the 2016 George McCorkle Challenge, will close out their non league portion of their schedule on Sunday when they take on Emporia State and Angelo State on Sunday morning.
In the loss against Emporia State, the Grizzlies only mustered two hits as
Paige Reichmuth and
Marissa Harmon each went 1-of-3 at the plate. They did squander nine hits including a home run.
On Saturday, in their loss to Angelo State, Tylar Hays and
Taylor Roberts were credited with hits.
In their second game on Saturday, the Grizzlies had six hits including two by Harmon with one of her two being a double.
