ALAMOSA, Colo. (February 8th, 2017) – The Adams State University wrestling team wraps up their home schedule tomorrow at 6:00pm in Plachy Hall. The opponent will be No. 13 Colorado State Pueblo who is coming off of a first place finish at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships last weekend in Colorado Springs.
Recently For Adams State Wrestling:
The Grizzlies were also in Colorado Springs last weekend competing in the RMAC Championships where Adams State finished seventh as a team.
Darek Huff finished third in the 125 pound weight class at the tournament.
Tuli Laulu and
Nevada Bencomo both finished fourth in their respective weight classes.
Martin Ramirez was the team's best individual placer. Ramrez finished second in the 133 pound weight class. Martin is currently ranked third in tech fall victories for all of Division II wrestling.
About Colorado State Pueblo:
The ThunderWolves were crowned as RMAC Champions last weekend. CSU-Pueblo hosted the title for the seventh time, but their first since 2001. The Grizzlies will have to face individual RMAC Champion JaCobi Jones at 165.
Last Meeting: The Grizzlies faced the ThunderWolves last on January 29
th, 2016. Pueblo won the meeting 32-14.

Martin Ramirez were all victorious that night in the team's losing effort.
Up Next: The Grizzlies will head to Gunnison on Friday to wrap up the 2016-17 schedule against Western State.
