LUBBOCK, Texas – Adams State University men's soccer team came up short for the first time this season with a 0-1 decision against Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock Sunday afternoon. Adams finishes up non-conference play with a 3-1 record, and look to move into Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference competition Friday at CSU-Pueblo.

The Grizzlies, the seventh-ranked team in the NCAA Division II South Central Region, let up the lone goal in the game in the 31
st minute to Abdou Joof. The rest of the match was a defensive battle on Lubbock Christian's end, but Adams was unable to solve the defensive play of the Chaparrals.

The first half saw a physical playing match with nine total fouls and a pair of yellow cards, but the second half turned for the worse. Despite just three fouls in the second half, four yellow cards and three red cards were dished out. At the turn of the 80
th minute, three players were ejected at the same time, two Chaparrals and
Marcus Wilson for the Grizzlies.
Josue Murillo also was given a caution card in the skirmish.

The Grizzlies finished with seven shots in a game that saw just 16 total shots.
