ALAMOSA – The Adams State University women's soccer team began its' weekend on the road by earning a draw against New Mexico Highlands University Friday afternoon. The weekend wrapped up in Pueblo with Adams State losing 2-1 against Colorado State University- Pueblo.

Adams State and New Mexico Highlands finished in a scoreless draw. The neutral site match was played in Taos, New Mexico, due to field issues on the Highland campus.

The first half featured 14 combined fouls with seven coming from each team. The second half and overtimes showed a more aggressive Adams State team outshooting New Mexico Highlands 14-7. The game gave the Grizzlies its' second consecutive draw of the season. Â

Sunday afternoon's game featured a more intense affair between Adams State and Colorado State University- Pueblo. Colorado State University started off as the more aggressive team earning the first two goals of the game. Adams responded with a goal of its' own from
Braquelle Calley assisted by
Kendall Weld. The shot earned Calley her second goal for the season. With time running out, Adams State's
Carly Kading and
Breana Flores received a pair of yellow cards in the 87
th and 88
th minute.

The weekend brought Adams State to a record of 1-2-2 for the season. The Grizzlies will be home in Alamosa September 22
nd to face Metropolitan State University of Denver at 4 p.m.Â
