Canyon, Texas- Day two went similar to day one at the 2017 BritKare Lady Buff Classic with one win and one loss for the Adams State University volleyball team. The Grizzlies lost their early game against the host team, West Texas A&M 1-3 before demolishing Southwestern Oklahoma State later in the evening 3-0.

In the first game, ASU took the first set 25-23 after
Alexia Gerdes landed a kill off an assist from Rachel Ringler to get the deciding point. The Lady Buffs would come roaring back in set number two, ending with a 19-25 win and a 9-3 run to close it out. WTAM would then take the third set 20-25. In the fourth, a
Mallory Grimsrud kill put Adams up 23-22 late. Unfortunately, the Lady Buffs would score the next three points to take the game. In the loss,
Mallory Grimsrud had 14 kills, four blocks, and four digs. Rachel Ringler put up another 34 assists. Erin Clark had 22 kills for the home team.

Later on, the Grizzlies soundly defeated the Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldogs 3-0. Adams won 25-18, 25-22, and 25-18 respectively. The highlight came in the third set when the Grizzlies ended the game with a 6-1 run capped by a Grimsrud kill.
Hannah Goddard would lead the win with 13 kills and 11 digs.

With her 22 kills on the day,
Mallory Grimsrud has officially tied Megan Tapia for fifth in career kills with 947.
