ST. GEORGE, Utah - The Adams State women's soccer team lost to Dixie State University on Friday night, 4-0. The Grizzlies move to 1-7 in conference play and 2-10 overall.
The Grizzlies did not have much production offensively through the entirety of the game. The Trailblazers scored first in the 21st minute when Whitley Johns had a breakaway opportunity in which she capitalized on. The rest of the half went scoreless with the Grizzlies only managing one shot.
The second half featured three more goals from the Trailblazers. The Trailblazers would score three goals in a 17-minute span to cap off a 4-0 win. The Grizzlies had one shot during the game, while the Trailblazers had 26 shots with nine on goal.
The Grizzlies will look to try and end their losing skid as they travel north to Salt Lake City to take on Westminster College on Sunday, Oct. 14. The game will begin at 1 p.m.
