MSOC | Rangers Down Grizzlies to Complete Sweep of Season Series

ALAMOSA, Colo. – After being held to their sixth consecutive shutout and the second this season to Regis, the Adams State Men's Soccer team was beaten 2-0 Friday afternoon to fall to 0-11-2, 0-7-2 in RMAC play.

Chase Webert played a solid goalkeeper for the Rangers all afternoon, making five saves and giving up zero goals to and Adams State offense that is reeling and in search of offense.

After an impressive outting last time against Regis that saw Jacob Faircloth make nine saves and let in just one late goal, he was again solid making four saves, but was put in tough situations by his defense and ultimately let in two goals that would be the difference in the game.

The fist would come midway through the first half when Eric Peter headed in an assist from Jake Brown to put the Rangers up 1-0. Regis would score again, 11 minutes into the second half when Freddie Swales assisted Nico Denton to score from about 15 yards out. These two goals would be all the Rangers needed for a 2-0 victory

Adams State will be back in action against UCCS on Sunday at noon to complete the final home stand of the 2018 season, before they host Colorado Mesa for a singular final game on October 27th.
