SALT LAKE CITY – When Amit Hefer punched in a goal off of an assist from Danny Darelli and Brody Nelson just 3:55 into the game, it would only be a third of the damage he would do himself, as he would complete that hat trick with three goals in a 3-0 Westminster win over the Grizzlies.
Shawn McKeeken would get the start in the goal, giving up three goals, all to Amit Hefer. McKeeken would have a busy day, tallying 10 saves in the loss.
Amit Hefer's second goal came early in the second half on an assist from Adir Hazout and Preston McIllice, to put the Griffins up a pair. The final knockout punch came just six minutes later and would be the final of the game, as Westminster would go on to win 3-0.
For Adams State, the loss is their eighth in a row and the Grizzlies were shut out in in all eight, and it drops their record to 0-9-2 within RMAC play, 0-13-2 overall.
The Grizzlies will be back in action from Utah again on Sunday as they prepare to take on Dixie State in what will be one of the final two road games of the 2018 season. Game time is 1 PM.
