ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Adams State Volleyball team takes its talent on the road this weekend. Adams State plays New Mexico Highlands Friday, Oct. 26 and CSU-Pueblo Saturday. Opening serve for both games is at 7 p.m.
The Grizzlies are coming off their last weekend at home. Adams State was defeated by Colorado Mesa in four sets on Friday evening. Adams State bounced back to shut out Western Colorado in three sets on Saturday.
Hannah Goddard leads the team in kills at 247 with Shannon Mulkey not far behind at 232. Rachael Ringler continues the season as the team's leader in assists with an impressive 906.
Adams State is currently No. 9 in the RMAC standings as of this past weekend. The Grizzlies are 6-9 in the conference and 9-14 overall.
New Mexico Highlands is coming off a split at home against Westminster and Dixie State this past weekend. New Mexico Highlands defeated Westminster in three sets on Friday evening. However, New Mexico Highlands could not keep pace with Dixie State, and fell in four sets.
CSU-Pueblo finished this past weekend with an even slate against Westminster and Dixie State. CSU-Pueblo lost a competitive five-set match against Dixie State Friday evening. CSU-Pueblo showed out Saturday by sweeping Westminster in straight sets.
Following this weekend's games, Adams State will close out the regular season on Thursday Nov. 1 at Fort Lewis College at 7 p.m.
