Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. - The Adams State Volleyball team defeated CSU-Pueblo Saturday night on the road.
The night began with an Adams State set one victory over CSU-Pueblo. The set began with both teams trading points. Both teams couldn't separate themselves from one another the entire set. The set was tied at 23 when the Grizzlies rallied two straight points en route to the 25-23 victory.
The Grizzlies got off to a slow start in the second set. Adams State fell down early, 7-1 to CSU-P. The Grizzlies would come back to tie the set at 11. Adams State outscored CSU-P 14 to eight to take the victory, 25-19.
Set three began with Adams State trailing early against CSU-P, 10-3. Unlike the second set, the Grizzlies couldn't overcome the deficit. CSU-P defeated Adams State, 25-19 for the set three win.
Both teams came out swapping points at the start of set four. The set was tied at 13 all midway through the fourth set. The Grizzlies continued to push the pace against the Thunderwolves. CSU-P couldn't sustain Adams State's scoring. The Grizzlies went on to earn the 25-22 victory in the fourth and final set.
Rachael Ringler led the team with 46 assists. Atira Jells had a team-high 19 kills. Hannah Goddard and Shannon Mulkey contributed 14 and 10 kills to the Grizzlies offense.
