ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State offense stood stagnant and scoreless for the fourth straight game, as the Metro offense put up five goals on
Jacob Faircloth to down the Grizzlies 5-0. The loss drops their conference record to 0-5-2, 0-9-2 overall.
The first half saw nearly the first 30 minutes scoreless for both teams, as the Jacob Coking would strike first for the Roadrunners just past the 28-minute mark, and would go into the half up 1-0. The second half they would blow the game wide open right out of the gate, as
Jacob Faircloth and the Adams defense would be unable to stop the bleeding.
Coking would score his second goal of the match at the 51-minute mark, and less than four minutes later his teammate Yannick Schad would add another goal to put Metro up 3-0.
Ten Minutes later, Jamie Gutierrez would cash in an assist from Elijah Fenton, and the route was on as the Roadrunners would go up four at that point. Metro would waste little time and another goal would be added by Rafael Munoz-Vega that would make the score 5-0.
Coach
Stan Rodrigues would then replace Faircloth with former starter
Shawn Mckeeken, and Mckeeken would not allow a goal in his 24 minutes of action.
The Grizzlies will be back in action on Sunday, as they take on winless Colorado Christian at 12 PM in Lakewood.
