Grizzlies Set to Close Out Calendar Year at Home

ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Adams State Men's Basketball team begins a two game conference home stint this weekend at Plachy Hall. The Grizzlies will close out the 2018 calendar year against a pair of South Dakota schools.

Tip-Off
• Adams State is currently 2-6, with a 2-1 record in the RMAC. The Grizzlies are coming off a 1-1 split on the road last weekend against CSU-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands.
• Adams State defeated CSU-Pueblo after pulling away from them in the second half for a decisive 86-74 victory.
• The Grizzlies battled against New Mexico Highlands till the end, falling just short of the victory, 100-95.
• The Grizzlies will be on break following this weekends games. The Grizzlies won't be back on the court until Jan. 4 at Chadron State.

• Black Hills State is averaging 69.3 ppg, while holding its' opponents to an even 69 ppg. The Yellow Jackets rank No. 2 in the RMAC in defensive scoring.
• The Yellow Jackets are shooting 40% from the field, while their opposition is shooting nearly 44% this season.
• Malcolm Fraser sits at No. 7 in the conference in scoring, averaging 16.7 per game.
• Antonio Capley averages 1 block per game, good enough for seventh in the RMAC.

Scouting South Dakota School of Mines
• The Hardrockers sit at 1-2 in the RMAC and 3-7 overall. The Hardrockers are coming off a 1-1 split in last weekend's' contests at home.
• The 'Rockers are averaging 61.7 ppg on 43% field goal shooting. The Hardrockers are holding their opponents to 65 ppg on 43% shooting, both No. 1 in the RMAC.
• The Hardrockers are sixth in defensive rebounding in the conference, averaging 33.4 per game.
• Allec Williams is averaging 3.8 assists per game this season, ranking fifth in the RMAC.
• Troy Brady ranks eighth in the conference in steals at 1.7 per contest.
