Â
Thinks weren't looking well for the Grizz as the Hawks jumped out to a seven points lead through the first quarter and a half. It wasn't until two-thirds of the way through the second that the Grizzlies jumped onto the scoreboard then they seemed unstoppable, scoring four goals in five minutes to enter half with a manageable deficit. The third period was a killer, as the Grizzlies let up five goals before the final quarter where they took it two-zero.
Â
Kale Wilson continued to lead the Grizzlies, scoring two goals on two shots. He was joined by
Emmitt MacFarlane and
Jacob Austin, who each had a goal and assist. MacFarlane led the team with a pair of assists.
Â
Also for Adams,
Alex Brydson and
Morgan Osborne each scored a goal.
Danny Krieble and
Johnny Rosas each assisted on goals. The Grizzlies five assists on six goals is the best assist-score percentage sine last season's five assists on five goals against Regis. It is tied fifth-best percentage in school history with five or more goals, tying the mark in 2016 against Florida Southern.
Â
Coltyn Kelly and Osborne led the team with three groundballs each, while
Ryan Hamilton had three caused turnovers.
Connor Johnson tied his sixth-best career mark in saves with 18.
