ALAMOSA - The Adams State University baseball team (2-43, 1-27 RMAC) notched its first home win of the season in dramatic fashion this afternoon. After losing game one of a double header,
Dakota Solis hit a walk off grand slam to give the Grizzlies an 8-6 win over New Mexico Highlands (17-28, 12-19 RMAC).

The Cowboys would take an early lead when Carlos Ramirez doubled to center field for two RBI's in the first. The Grizzlies would answer by the end of the second with a
Tyson Zanski homerun and a
Billy Ryan one RBI double. NMHU would blow it open in the third with four runs off five hits.
Dustin Kachel decreased the margin with a homerun in the fifth before the seventh inning magic began. With bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Kachel was walked in setting up a 3-6 deficit with
Dakota Solis up to bat. The junior would procced to knock it out of the park over the left center fence for a walk off grand slam.

Solis led the team with four RBI's, two hits, and the game winning run.
Tyson Zanski was also key with one RBI, three hits, and two runs scored.
Daniel Brennan was the winning pitcher for the home team, pitching the entire game and recording six strikeouts.

Game one of today's double header easily went to the Cowboys 11-3.

The team will close out their home schedule and series with Highlands tomorrow at noon.
