ALAMOSA – Adams State University track and field and cross country star
Jenna Thurman has been named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team, CoSIDA announced today. Thurman will automatically be nominated to the Google Cloud Academic All-American team, with the team being announced June 8
th.

The 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Track/Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams announced in June.\

Thurman closed out her career at Adams State this year as an eight-time All-American and was a part of three national championship teams. She has a 3.80 GPA in Biology and was named the 2018 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Academic Athlete of the Year.

Additionally, Thurman was a three-time RMAC All-Academic First Team selection, the 2017 USTFCCCA Regional Athlete of the Year, the 2016 RMAC XC Athlete of the Year and holds the ninth-fastest time in Division II history in the indoor 3,000. She is also a part of the fastest distance medley relay in Division II history.

Thurman is joined by seven other individuals from the RMAC, who dominated the District 6 that includes the Heartland and Lone Star Conferences with eight of 11 individuals.
