ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State University women's volleyball team travels to Canyon, Texas, to compete in the Lady Buff Classic this weekend. The Grizzlies have a pair of doubleheaders at 1:00 and 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
 

Adams State will kick the weekend off with a match against host school, West Texas A&M on Friday at 1 p.m. central time. The Lady Buffs defeated the Grizzlies in their only match last season, three sets to one. Following their match against West Texas A&M, Adams State will face off against Eastern New Mexico at 5:30 p.m. CT. Adams State fell to Eastern New Mexico in five sets in their previous matchup in 2016.

Adams State continues the weekend Saturday morning against Rockhurst University. This match will prove to be a test for the Grizzlies, as the Hawks are ranked 10^th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division II Top 25 Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Grizzlies close out their weekend Saturday evening with a face off against Emporia State University.

The Grizzlies will be home Friday September 7^th to take on Metropolitan State University Denver and Saturday for a matchup against Chadron State College.
