ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Adams State Volleyball Team travels west to Utah for matches against a pair of conference foes this weekend. The weekend gets underway with a matchup against Westminster College Friday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. Adams State follows that up with a match against Dixie State University Saturday at 3 p.m.
Adams State is coming off back-to-back losses against in-state rivals, Colorado School of Mines and University of Colorado-Colorado Springs this past weekend. The Grizzlies record fell to 4-8, while their conference record dropped to 1-3. Adams State currently sits at No. 12 in the RMAC standings entering this weekend.
Hannah Goddard continues to lead the team with 139 kills for the season. Rachael Ringler remains atop the Grizzlies' team in assists at 453.
Westminster sits at 4-8 overall with a 2-2 record in the RMAC. The Griffins are entering this weekend at No. 8 in the RMAC standings. The team is coming off a split at home against Colorado Mesa and Western State Colorado.
Dixie State heads into this weekend ranked No. 2 in the RMAC. The Trailblazers hold a record of 9-2, while remaining undefeated in conference play at 4-0. Dixie State looks to extend its four-game win streak this weekend against Fort Lewis and Adams State.
