ALAMOSA, Colo. - Fresh off a 2-0 weekend of dual competition with both wins coming in shutout fashion, Adams State Wrestling is back in action for a Thursday tilt on the road.

• The Grizzlies (3-1, 2-1 RMAC) are coming off a weekend that saw them score a combined 99 team points in dual action as they posted a pair of shutout dual victories at the Tracy Borah Duals in Gunnison, Colo.
• Adams State posted a 51-0 win against RMAC foe San Francisco State and followed that win up with a 48-0 victory over in-region opponent Simon Fraser. The two duals wins pushed Adams State's win streak to three after starting the season 0-1.
• The Grizzlies also had a solid day of competition this past Friday in the Western Colorado Open. They crown three champions and had a total of nine placewinners at the tournament. They have totaled 19 placewinners in six tournaments this season now.
• Adams State continues to show well in the lighter weight while the heavier weights have started to solidify themselves early into dual action.
Jonathan Andreatta and
Darek Huff will likely continue to work at 125 pounds and 133 pounds, respectively.
•
Dylan Udero will also likely get the starting nod at 141 pounds, with
Noah Hermosillo following him at the 149-pound weight class. Rounding out the top half of the lineup for the Grizzlies is going to be
Ryan Rochford or
Gavin Davy at 157 pounds.
• Leading off the second half of the Adams State lineup will be the lone senior of the team in
Koery Windham at 165 pounds.
Isaac Lopez or
William Gustavson will start at 174 pounds as both grapplers are coming off a solid weekend of competition.

William Tyler is expected to be the 184-pound starter for Adams State. In the final two weight classes, Adams State has some options to go to. At 197 pounds they will look to either
Khalil Gipson or
Dakota Bencomo.
• At the heavyweight, the starting nod will go to either
James Romero or
Sylvester Montgomery. Overall, the Grizzlies will have the potential to role a full lineup out when they compete in dual for the remainder of the regular season.

Adams State Wrestling had a solid Saturday morning at the Tracy Borah Duals as the team posted back-to-back to shutout dual wins. The Grizzlies scored 40-plus points in both wins to improve to 3-1 in dual action this season.
In the first dual of the day, the Grizzlies managed to put up 51 points thanks in part to six-point victories in six of their 10 match-ups.
Match No. 2 of the Tracy Borah Duals only had one difference to it for the Grizzlies compared to the first. The Grizzlies scored three less team points in the second dual as they took down The Clan of Simon Fraser 48-0 to finish the day undefeated.
Scouting New Mexico Highlands
• The Cowboys are coming off an undefeated weekend just like the Grizzlies. At the Bronco Duals in Hastings, Neb. They went 3-0 as they scored 127 combined points and held their opponents to just 17, including a shutout win.
• New Mexico Highlands had six wrestlers all post 3-0 marks last weekend at the Bronco Duals. Going undefeated for Highlands was Isaac Garcia (133 pounds), Logan Pine (149), Allen Michel (157), Lance Kilgore (174), Chris Collins (197) and Julian Sanchez (285).
• Both of the Cowboys dual losses have come against RMAC opponents. They dropped a 25-21 contest to Chadron State and a 28-16 contest to Colorado School of Mines.
• Prior to taking on Adams State, New Mexico Highlands will take on Colorado State-Pueblo tonight on the road.
