Box Score ALAMOSA, Colo. – Adams State Women's Volleyball fell to Angelo State in their home opener Tuesday night. The Lady Belles took the win 3-0 over the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies came out ready to play, and so did the Lady Belles. At the beginning of match one, the Belles went on an early 10-4 run. The volley continues to go back and forth with the Belles coming out on top 25-17.
Angelo State kept their foot on the gas finishing up set two 25-11. Set three was much better for the Grizzlies as they went on an 8-4 run from the start. Adams State kept the lead for a majority of the match. Angelo State slowly came back, tying it up at 14. The two teams rallied throughout the remainder of the match, with Angelo barely escaping the match with a 26-24 win.
The Grizzlies now move to 1-4 on the early season. Adams State will reset and will be ready to go for the Skyhawks Volleyball Tournament this weekend in Durango, Colo. Adams State is set to face Western New Mexico and West Texas A&M Friday, Sept. 13. The Grizzlies will have another doubleheader Saturday against Texas A&M International and Washburn University.
