COLORADO SPRINGS – Adams State redshirt junior
Jonathan Andreatta was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Wrestler of the Week, as announced by conference officials earlier today.
Andreatta helped earn 12 team points as he paced the Grizzlies in two team wins over ranked opponents at 2021 Fort Hays State University Dual Jamboree at Gross Memorial Stadium. The Grizzlies, who were ranked No. 10 in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) defeated No. 12 Fort Hays State, 24-21, before downing No. 23 Newman, 29-18.
Andreatta had two falls. The first came over the No. 2 wrestlers at 125, FHSU's Mason Turner, in 2:57. The second fall came over Newman's Jake Patch in 2:24.
Adams State is scheduled for two RMAC duals this week. They are set to travel to Western Colorado on Friday with a dual set for 5:00 p.m. before traveling to Colorado Mesa to take on the Mavericks on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
