ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies were no allowing the cold and wet weather to stop them from playing their game. The Grizzlies took on Colorado Christian University on Friday, October 1st, at 1:00 p.m.
The Grizzlies came out to play but Colorado Christian scored a quick goal. In the 3rd minute, Celeste Ruelas scored quick, which made the score, 1-0 early. The score would remain like this for the rest of the first half.
The Grizzlies came out better the second half and matched the Cougars well. In the second half, the game was turned up to a whole other level. Both teams were both physical, talkative, and stronger.
The Grizzlies and Cougars were an excellent match for one another. Halfway through the second half and neither team found the back of the net.
The goal within the first few minutes would be the only goal of the game. The Grizzlies lost to the Cougars 1-0.
Up next, the Grizzlies play Western Colorado on Sunday, October 3rd and then are fortunate to stay at home for another weekend, as they play Fort Lewis on Sunday, October 10th.
