SALT LAKE CITY- The Adams State University men's soccer team hit the road on Friday night and fell to the Westminster Griffins by a count of 6-0 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) action.
Westminster opened up the game with three goals in the first half on six shots while Westminster had a total of six. The goals for the Griffins came pretty spread out as they scored in the 6th minute, the 29th minute and the 37th minute.
For the first 40 minutes of the second half both teams played strong defense but the Griffins scored three goals in the final five minutes including two that were just five seconds apart from each other in the 86th minute before the final goal came in 89th.
Adams State took a total of seven shots in the game one being on goal while the Griffins tallied 17 with 11 on goal.
The Grizzlies will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 10, when they take on Colorado Mesa.
