GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies played Colorado Mesa this afternoon. Unfortunately, the Mavericks were too much for the Grizzlies, as the Grizzlies lost, 9-0.
The Grizzlies and the Mavericks came out fast, but the Mavericks were the only ones to find the back of the net. In the 14th minute, Mesa's David Peter scored. The Mavericks would score one more time in the first half, making the score 2-0.
Colorado Mesa came out for the second half stronger and faster than before and scored in the 46th minute, 50th minute, and 54th minute. The Grizzlies couldn't hold off the Mavericks as they would score four more times in the second half.
The Grizzlies look to learn from this tough loss and regroup to come back stronger as a unit when they play University of Colorado at Colorado Springs on Thursday, October 14th, at 7:00 p.m. Then, the Grizzlies will be back on their home field on Sunday to play Colorado State University Pueblo.
