ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies are into their second at home this season. The Grizzlies play Sunday, October 10th, at 1:00 p.m. The Grizzlies only have one game this weekend so all their focus will be on the Skyhawks.
"Happy to still be home this weekend. We are at the halfway point of the season and we've flipped the pages into the second half of the season," Head Coach
Colin Baker said. "We know what we need to do to gain momentum and for us to make a run towards the postseason."
Fort Lewis College is currently 3-4 overall, but 1-2 in conference play. The Skyhawks are currently coming off of a win against New Mexico Highlands, 4-1. In the last matchup, the Skyhawks beat the Grizzlies, 0-1. Currently, the Grizzlies are on a four-game losing streak to the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks. The Grizzlies are looking to overturn the past history and start the Grizzlies with their first win in conference play.
"Fort Lewis is one of the better teams in conference. They've got one of the best coaches in the country," Baker commented. "They're organized and very physical. We know what we will need to do in order to leave the field on Sunday with a positive result."
Up next, the Grizzlies are back on the road as they play Friday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 17th, at 1:00 p.m.
