 Searching for a Road Win
The Grizzlies look to get their first away game victory of the season. Fort Lewis is currently 4-9, meanwhile, ASU is 3-7. ASU and Fort Lewis recently played against each other on Tuesday, February 16 and the Grizzlies came out on top 70-55. However, the Grizzlies have some difficulty playing away, as their away record is 0-5.

The Grizzlies will look forward to having junior transfer Haley Eaves, as it is her first game back since January 7th, against Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her three-point shooting will be a great addition to the already group of shooters ASU has.

Sophomore, guard Laura Gutierrez is coming off of a strong performance against the Skyhawks earlier this week. She had 18 points and three steals as her key-scoring helped the Grizzlies stay ahead of the Skyhawks.

The Grizzlies will then  look to get a road win against their rival, Western Colorado University. They play the nationally ranked team on Saturday, February 20th at 5:00 p.m.

This will be the second to last road game of the season, so the Grizzlies look to help senior, guard Paiton Demps get the last road game. Demps is a two-year starter for the Grizzlies. Originally from Elk Grove, California, she transferred from San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, California. In the two seasons Demps has been with the Grizzlies, they have yet to have a road win, so that will be something special.

As her last collegiate season is quickly coming to an end, she looks to her Grizzly teammates to help her leave on a good note. Even though the Grizzlies have multiple dominating freshmen, these last few games have a deeper meaning to the upperclassmen. This is especially true for redshirt junior, Kaitlyn Bell. Bell has been a starter all season for the Grizzlies and looks to finish these last two weeks on top.

About Fort Lewis
Fort Lewis College is coming off a loss against the Grizzlies. They look to take advantage of having the home court on Friday. Even in the loss, standout sophomore, forward Jordan Vasquez had a career-high 27 points. She also had a double-double with 10 rebounds. Her huge presence on the boards must be limited if the Grizzlies are to capture the season sweep.

About Western Colorado University
Western Colorado University is recently coming off of a loss to South Dakota Mines, moving them from #7, to #21 nationally. That was Western's second loss of the season. This is their last home game, so they will be striving to end their last home game with a win. Jessie Erickson, Mikaela Parker, Samantha Coleman, Jadyn Kanzler, and Katie Dalton will be making their last appearance in the Paul Wright Gym. Alongside them will be the previous RMAC Freshman of the year, Hannah Cooper, who in their opening game against Blackhills State, tied the female record for most points in a game with 34. The Grizzlies will look to upset Western on their senior night.

Series History vs Western Colorado University
The Grizzlies and Western Colorado University are huge rivals. This is reflected in their series history record over the past 25 games. They are currently 12-13 against Western. Currently, Western is on an eight-game winning streak against the Grizzlies. The last matchup on February 21st, 2020 resulted in a win for Western, 62-43.

The Grizzlies are 5-7 away and 7-6 at home.

Up Next
The Grizzlies will be playing their last road game of the season against CSU Pueblo on Monday, February 22, 2021 with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m.
