PUEBLO, Colo.— The Adams State University Softball team opened the 2021 season on Saturday with two exhibition games at Rawlings Field in Pueblo. The Grizzlies dropped both contests. They fell to CSU Pueblo, 8-4, and to Bethany College, 9-0

The Grizzlies jumped out a 2-0 lead in the top of the first as
Jade Garbiso nailed a single up the middle to score
Tyler Hays and Vargas drew a bases loaded walk to score
Sydney Muniz.
The ThunderWolves rallied back and with three hits in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game at two.
Samantha McDonald gave the lead back to Adams State as Kyra Archibald scored on a single up the middle.
CSU Pueblo scored six unanswered runs with two in the third, fourth and sixth innings to take an 8-3 lead. The Grizzlies scratched across a single run in the top of the seventh as Wall earned a RBI on a groundout.
Bethany 9, Adams State 0
The Grizzlies were then held scoreless in the second game despite garnering two hits and two steals.
The Grizzlies will be back in action tomorrow when they take on Bethany College in an exhibition game before taking on the ThunderWolves in their first official game of the season.
