BASE | Grizzlies fall to Rangers, No. 2 Mavericks Saturday

Grand Junction, Colo.— The Grizzlies had a doubleheader today against Regis University and second-ranked Colorado Mesa.

Regis 7, Adams State 2
The Grizzlies dropped the opening game of their doubleheader to Regis. The Rangers opened up the game with five runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Rangers then added two more runs in the sixth inning. The Grizzlies responded with a solo home run by Jace Wytulka in the top of the seventh inning and a solo home run by Kolten Bleggi in the top of the eighth.

Colorado Mesa 25, Adams State 2
The Mavericks jumped out to an early ten-run lead in the first inning and cruised through the rest of the game. They added eleven more run before the Grizzlies scored two runs in the top of the fifth off of two passed balls. The Mavericks added four more runs after that.

Up Next:  
The Grizzlies have a single nine inning game tomorrow against second-ranked Colorado Mesa at 12.00 p.m. before returning home to take on the Mavericks on Tuesday with a make-up doubleheader starting at 11:00 a.m.
