ALAMOSA, Colo.— Despite a late start due to COVID protocols, the Adams State University Men's Lacrosse Team could not overcome the Westminster Griffins on Sunday as they fell 16-7.
Adams State got two first quarter goals from
Jacob Austin to take a 2-1 lead into the second period. Westminster then scored eight goals in the second to trade another Austin goal as they led 8-3 at the half.
Adams State outscored Westminster 4-2 in the third before the Griffins scored five in the fourth.
Adams State will close out the regular season on the road starting next Friday when they travel to Westminster on Friday Apr. 23.
